First Posting of Cadet College Sanghar



INTRODUCTION:
Cadet College Sanghar is the fourth Cadet College in the province of Sindh. The College was commissioned on the holy day of Eid Millad–un–Nabi (S.A.W) the 20th of August 1994. It is spread over an area of 265 acres and is situated about 10 kilometers from village Jam Nawaz Ali. The nearest town is Tando Adam which is 35 kilometers from the College and an important industrial city, located on the main railway line. The District Headquarter is Sanghar which is 60 kilometers and Mirpurkhas (Sindhri) Airfield is about 40 kilometers from the college, while Mirpurkhas city is 35 kilometers, Hyderabad is 90 kilometers and Karachi is 225 kilometers from College Campus. The college is situated amidst beautiful natural surroundings. The serenity, noise and pollution free environment provides ideal conditions for learning, training and sports activities. The perennial “Jumrao Canal” is just 1 kilometer away from the college and is an attractive spot for leisure activities.

The college is under the command and control of Pakistan Navy and is managed by Board of Governors, Commander Karachi an Administrative Authority of Pakistan Navy is ex–officio Chairman. The Commandant is the Member / Secretary of the Board of Governors. The Board is established under “The West Pakistan Government Educational and Training Institutions Ordinance 1960”. The Commandant / Principal is responsible for the administration of the college in accordance with the laid down rules.

AIM:

The aim of establishing Cadet College Sanghar in the under developed and remote part of Sindh, is to produce future leaders for defence services and other professions by establishing an atmosphere of well–disciplined education and training of the youth in the interior of Sindh.

MISSION:

Cadet College Sanghar is a residential institution. It prepares boys for the Secondary and Intermediate Examinations held by Mirpurkhas Board. The mission is to impart high quality education as well as to provide a healthy environment which would help to produce confident, disciplined and courageous young men, possessing strong character qualities of command and leadership. The entire effort is geared towards the achievement of “Whole man and an officer concept” and to imbibe in them a spirit of service toward the nation as proud, motivated gentlemen fit to be potential leadership in the Pakistan Armed Forces. However, they are free to join a carrier of their own choice.

SCOPE:

The College is planned for formal education from Class VIII to XII. The college offers only science subjects, both at the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels (Pre–Medical & Pre–Engineering Groups). The syllabi as prescribed by Sindh Text Books are followed, but additional material is also used for scholastic enrichment of the students. The college is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpurkhas and is governed by its regulations of examination.
